Newland Communities recently reported 132 new home sales in Estrella for 2008, which resulted in a 28 percent increase from the 103 new homes sold in 2007. A successful year by any measure, this recent report is significantly noteworthy in light of the tough economy and severely troubled real estate market.
“Our amenities, variety of product, and new commercial development set us apart from other masterplanned communities in the Valley,” said Greg Bielli, president of Newland Communities’ Western Region.
In 2008, Newland Communities purchased 3,000 additional acres for the expansion of the Estrella community and broke ground on Mountain Ranch Marketplace, Estrella’s first major retail center. While expanding Estrella and making more convenient shopping options available to Estrella residents, Newland Communities also hosted a variety of family-oriented events.
In addition to announcing an increase of sales in 2008, Newland Communities also reported that Estrella had fewer cancellations and more co-brokes in 2008 than in 2007. This is an indication of the still-strong interest in Estrella and a credit to Estrella’s unique Realtor loyalty program.
