Taking advantage of the cooler months, Estrella hosts a monthly farmers market which began in October. The market is a welcome opportunity for the community and visitors to come together and enjoy the convenience of local goods. The Lakeside Farmers Market at Estrella is open to the public and free of charge.
In days past, the autumn harvest brought together communities who shared the bounty of summer in open-air markets with fresh items picked from the farm that morning. The market brings the same special atmosphere to attendees.
The Lakeside Farmers Market at Estrella features locally-grown greens, organic produce, Alaskan seafood, fresh beef, pork, fresh eggs, Artisan breads, cakes, pastries, pastas, fresh salsas and more. Local artisans display their handcrafted pottery, metalwork, jewelry and gifts. Vendors offer favorite fares as you shop, including homemade tamales, hot dogs, and kettle corn.
One of the most requested vendors ”The Knife Sharpener” attends the market each month to sharpen knives, scissors, sheers, chisels and any other tools from around the house that have “lost its edge,” while visitors enjoy the sights and sounds of the market and the gorgeous views of the North Lake and the Sierra Estrella Mountains.
Estrella is the perfect setting for the farmers market. A friendly community with over 3,700 homes, resort-style amenities, exemplary schools, open space and mountain trails, the area continues to attract families, couples, and singles in all of life’s stages.
The Lakeside Farmers Market is every second Saturday through April from 10am – 2pm at the Yacht Club Pavilion. So get outside and spend a beautiful day with friends and neighbors while browsing through booths shopping for unique specialty items.
