4th Annual “” event provides prospective homebuyers a glimpse of Estrella’s community spirit

Goodyear, AZ (October 3, 2011) – Estrella by Newland Communities today announced a new twist to their Annual Taste of Estrella.  Themed this year as Game Day Gourmet, The 4^th annual event, which is free, will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 1 – 4 p.m.

Game Day Gourmet offers prospective homebuyers a spirited way to view each of the seven builders within the Estrella community. Eight neighborhoods will each feature a different sports-oriented activity along with food and beverage pairings to compliment each game while touring the well appointed model homes.

“With Phoenix being home to so many sports teams and sports enthusiasts, Game Day Gourmet was the perfect fit for this year’s event,” said Lynneah Hudson, Newland Communities Western Regional Marketing Director.  “The event will highlight activities devoted to baseball, golf, tennis, basketball, hockey, soccer, football and the new sensation, pickleball.”

Guests will enjoy a fun sampling of food and play as they tour Estrella’s neighborhoods, including CantaMia, an active adult community. Estrella has continued to be a top choice for homebuyers in the Greater Phoenix area with remarkable amenities and top rated schools within the community.

Each of Estrella’s homebuilders will host a themed Game Day Gourmet sporting event and tailgate fare in their neighborhoods. Highlights include:

La Entrada: Taylor Morrison

Hockey. Show us your slap shot with the official Coyotes inflatable slap shot game. Meet Howler the Coyotes mascot who will be giving out autographed cards. Enjoy home-cooked chili topped with shredded cheese, served with mini corn bread squares. Cool off with some refreshing chocolate milk and enter for your chance to win fun prizes.

Las Palmas: Ashton Woods Homes

Baseball. Bring the kids to meet Zizzy, the Goodyear Ballpark mascot and participate in fun baseball games. Try our mini hot dogs with all the usual fixings and flavorful root beer. Plus, four Infield Box Seats to a Diamondbacks game will be given away.

Ironwood Pointe: William Ryan Homes

Soccer. Score a goal on the Inflatable Goal Kick, plus there will be fun special activities for kids from Estrella Youth Sports. Munch on soft pretzel bites with provolone fondue, gourmet mustard and refreshing orange juice.
