The West Valley showed up in a big way on Saturday, March 21, as more than 10,000 attendees filled the Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater for the 12th Annual Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival.
What began as an unseasonably warm evening quickly transformed into one of the most electric nights the festival has ever seen. It was a true celebration of music, community, and the vibrant spirit that defines Goodyear and Estrella.
Co‑hosted by Estrella and the City of Goodyear, the free festival once again proved why it has become one of the region’s most anticipated annual traditions. From the opening act, Hyperbella, to the final notes from headliners Plain White T’s, the amphitheater at North Lake was alive with energy, connection, and nonstop entertainment.
This year’s festival delivered a dynamic mix of local talent, rising stars, and nationally recognized artists.
- Hyperbella opened the festival with its signature intergalactic neo‑soul sound, weaving complex harmonies and experimental textures into a mesmerizing set.
- Plum then took the stage with a surge of rock‑driven power, blending the raw energy of Led Zeppelin and Heart with a modern edge.
- Honeygirl brought heartfelt storytelling and country warmth to the stage, captivating the audience with powerful vocals and rich musicianship.
- Sundressed elevated the momentum with its alternative/indie sound, delivering a performance full of heart, positivity, and crowd‑pleasing energy.
- Plain White T’s closed the night with a nostalgic, high‑energy set featuring fan favorites including platinum, Grammy nominated hit “Hey There Delilah.”
The amphitheater glowed under the lights as families, friends, and music lovers of all ages sang along, danced, and soaked in the atmosphere. But the festival wasn’t just about the stage. It was a full community experience from morning to night.
Earlier in the day, eight of Estrella’s national, award‑winning homebuilders opened more than 50 new homes for touring, including models and move‑in ready options. A big thank you to Richmond American Homes, DRB Homes, Taylor Morrison, Beazer Homes, William Ryan Homes, Toll Brothers, Lennar, and Risewell Homes.
Visitors began their journey at the Estrella Welcome Center before exploring neighborhoods across the community. Builder teams reported strong interest and steady traffic throughout the day.
At the festival grounds, guests enjoyed:
- A bustling artisan vendor market.
- Delicious options from 30 local food trucks.
- A lively beer garden sponsored by Saddle Mountain Brewing Company.
- A kids’ zone and giant lawn games with Jenga, chess, and checkers that kept families entertained between sets.
Since 2015, Estrella and the City of Goodyear have partnered to grow the Lakeside Music Festival into one of the West Valley’s premier cultural events. This year’s turnout is a testament to the community’s passion for live music, local talent, and shared experiences.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible artists who brought their talent and energy to the stage; the vendors, food trucks, and partners who helped create a memorable festival atmosphere; the homebuilders who welcomed visitors into their newest homes; and most importantly, the thousands of residents and guests who bundled up, showed up, and made the night unforgettable.
