What makes a community feel like home?
That question was at the heart of a recent 6-minute feature on Arizona Living, YurView’s lifestyle program, which showcased Estrella through the eyes of the people who live, work and play here every day.
Interviewed by host Danielle Lerner, Karen Angelo, Estrella’s manager of lifestyle services, shared what sets the award-winning master-planned community apart from others across the Valley.
The segment opened at Estrella’s award-winning Welcome Center, a fitting starting point for a community that places a premium on welcoming residents and helping them feel connected from day one. And while Estrella is known for its stunning mountain views and picturesque lakes, Angelo explained that the community’s greatest amenity may be its lifestyle.
“Estrella is more than just a master-planned community,” Angelo said. “It’s resort-style living all the time.”
That lifestyle is reflected in the abundance of recreational opportunities available throughout the community. Residents can hike along 65 miles of trails, kayak on North and South Lakes, play pickleball, tennis and basketball, cool off at the water park and splash pad, or spend time with family at one of more than 50 parks and playgrounds. Two resident clubs, sports courts, a great lawn and countless gathering spaces provide year-round opportunities to stay active and engaged.
The YurView segment also highlighted one of Estrella’s most unique amenities: Bebida, the resident-owned and operated coffee shop located at the Welcome Center. More than a place to grab a cup of coffee, Bebida serves as a gathering place where neighbors connect and friendships begin.
That sense of belonging was a recurring theme throughout the interview.
“There is a true sense of connection here,” Angelo said.
Residents have countless opportunities to meet neighbors through more than 50 clubs and interest groups that cater to a wide range of hobbies and passions. Estrella’s ambassador program also helps newcomers get acquainted with the community, making it easier to build relationships and feel at home.
And the lifestyle extends well beyond day-to-day amenities. Estrella hosts approximately 200 events annually, from neighborhood celebrations and family activities to signature events such as the Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival and Ballet Under the Stars. These experiences help create the vibrant, connected atmosphere that has become synonymous with life at Estrella.
