Civic Square, Goodyear. This is the first year the event has expanded to the West Valley and includes both a 1-mile and 5K heart walk option. The event opens at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. in the heart of Goodyear.
The American Heart Association encourages people to register for the West Valley Heart Walk today with a goal of raising $500,000. Heart disease and stroke impact millions of families each year claiming more than 870,000 lives, and this is a simple but big step to changing that. Every walker who joins and every dollar donated means more research can be completed, more people can be trained in lifesaving CPR and more medical breakthroughs will occur.
For nearly 100 years, the American Heart Association has been fighting heart disease and stroke, striving to save and improve lives. Tim Breslin, Senior Vice President at Harvard Investments, is a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the West Valley Heart Walk and will serve as captain of Team Estrella which has already raised more than $3,000.
