1. iCode Computer Science Camps for Kids and Teens
iCode camps are perfect for kids who have great imaginations, enjoy solving challenges and love technology. Computer Science Camps engage and foster a lifelong interest in STEAM education. Terrific code and design camps are available, such as Creative Entrepreneur, Minecraft: Learn How to Mod Using Java and Raspberry Pi. Ages 7 and above.

The Teen Police Academy at The Goodyear Police Department provides an inside look at Law Enforcement and is geared toward teens who may have an interest in criminal justice. Topics include Working Mock Crime Scenes, Firearms Safety and Training, Criminal Street Gangs and more. Ages 14 to 18 for one week each summer, class size is limited, so register early! Registration closes June 3, 2022. Classes meet from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Cost: There is an application process and a fee of $50, which covers the cost of the Teen Police Academy polo shirt, in class activities, and end of class celebration/graduation ceremony.
Kids 4-16 will love summer camp with hands-on learning at Estrella Mountain Community College this summer. Kid’s College allows kids to expand their learning and explore personal interests such as science, culinary arts, firefighting, video games, veterinary medicine and more. Classes are usually three days long and courses vary in price.

Taught by certified instructors, swim lessons are offered for participants ages 6 months and up and are geared towards all ability levels. One session of swim lessons includes eight 30-minute classes.

7. Summer Programs at Phoenix Children’s Academy Preschool in Goodyear
Kids stay active and engaged at Phoenix Children’s Center as they experience new friends and activities. Students learn through play. The theme for 2022 is “World Odyssey” where students learn about countries around the world.
