The Lakeside Amphitheater is the place to be on Saturday, September 21, as Ballet Under the Stars returns to Estrella. Ballet Arizona’s annual event, presented by the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation, is free to the public. The festivities begin at 5 p.m.; performers will take the stage at 7 p.m.
Ballet Under the Stars is the perfect show for the entire family and a great way to introduce ballet to young people for the first time. These performances promise an evening of fun suitable for all ages. Guests are invited to bring chairs and blankets to experience the beauty of dance at the Lakeside Amphitheater, 10300 Estrella Parkway, Goodyear, Arizona, 85338. There will be food trucks spread around the amphitheater grounds.
The evening features a fully-staged live performance by the professional company dancers of Ballet Arizona, with the planned performance including portions of Paul Taylor’s Piazzolla Caldera; Within Golden Hour by Christian Wheedon; and excerpts from Swan Lake.
Ballet Under the Stars also showcases a charming performance by local school students from Estrella Mountain Elementary School, through the Class Act program. Each year, Ballet Arizona’s professional dancers provide a three-week dance training class for students.
