BRAVO! GOODYEAR LAKESIDE MUSIC FESTIVAL
DRAWS 10,000 AT ESTRELLA

Thousands of music fans gathered lakeside at Estrella’s North Lake Park, Saturday March 25, for this year’s Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival.

Hosted by the city of Goodyear and the community of Estrella, this is the premier West Valley music festival. A crowd of 10,000+ jammed with five amazing bands covering an array of musical styles, with an emphasis on Arizona talent.

Estrella’s scenic North Lake provided the perfect backdrop for music, food and fun. The event featured food trucks to please every taste – crowd favorites included steamed buns and rice bowls at Hot Bamboo and brews from Goodyear’s own Saddle Mountain Brewing Company.

At a busy craft area for young fans, peals of laughter added to the rhythm of the night, and kids and adults alike delighted in the giant lawn games and danced stage side. Artist Quinn Murphy and Hamster Labs provided custom screen-printed posters and t-shirts to keep the memory of the event alive. Younger attendees also loved the free LED and glow-in-the dark toys, which added sparkle to the evening as the sun set over the entire venue.

The night started with the indie/folk/rock sounds of brother and sister duo Dorsten, then the band Decker. added some alt-country/indie vibes, followed by The Irie who really got the crowd moving with reggae, after which SugaRay Rayford brought in some blues and soul and finally the evening capped off with Earth Surface People’s indigenous sound and breathtaking fireworks over the water.

Over the last decade the Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival has become more than just an event for the community, every note has added to the rich melody of life at Estrella and provided one more reason to call these mountains home.
