Estrella Partners LP, comprised of Harvard Investments, Toll Brothers, and Värde Partners, is pleased to announce that Jeff Zimmerman has been named Director of Entitlements & Development for the Estrella Development Company, LLC – the company formed to manage and develop Estrella, one of the largest master-planned communities in Arizona. Zimmerman oversees the planning, engineering, and development of residential lots in the many Estrella neighborhoods as well as the design and expansion of the amazing community amenities. Jeff also works closely with the Harvard team and valued City of Goodyear partners to plan large-scale infrastructure to support Estrella’s long term development vision.
“Jeff is our ideal choice to lead an already stellar team at one of the largest, most amenity-rich master planned communities in Arizona. We recognize and will build upon the strong culture and community the 21,000 current Estrella residents have created as we continue our plan for robust growth over the next decade,” said Tim Brislin, Senior Vice President of Harvard Investments. “Jeff’s track record as a collaborative, intuitive, and experienced problem solver involving complex, large-scale projects made him a natural choice for this important role at Estrella.”
Zimmerman spent several years in the public accounting sector before transitioning into the real estate industry in 2003. Since that time, he has served as a manager and executive for land acquisition, entitlement, and development efforts, both with large, publicly-traded homebuilders, and external real estate consulting firms. He worked previously with Harvard Investments on multiple communities including Cadence at Gateway in Mesa, Desert Oasis in Surprise, and Verde Trails in Avondale. Jeff is committed to continuing the long-term quality development at Estrella and enhancing the community as a whole. Jeff shared how gratified he feels to represent Estrella Partners LP in this new role.
“To join a team that is already so strong is immensely appealing,” said Zimmerman. “Harvard has an outstanding history. Their culture based on strong character and building enduring communities is a great fit for me. Estrella’s complexity and long term opportunities to work on all aspects of a developing community – from large scale land planning and neighborhoods to multifamily and retail development – creates a unique opportunity for me at this point in my career that I couldn’t pass up.”
