How Three Generations came Together at Estrella

A community is more than a location, it’s created by the people who share their lives, interests and memories. For Nikki Montelongo, the community of Estrella is both home and work — and a place three generations of her family call home! As a community ambassador, Nikki represents Estrella to those exploring the opportunity to make Estrella home. As a resident, she knows the amenities, builders, offerings — and the special gems that make Estrella so desirable. “There’s so much here to love,” she said.
Nikki and her husband purchased their first Estrella home in 2020, making the decision to trade the California coast for the Sonoran Desert. “I told my husband, when we move to Arizona, we’re moving to Estrella,” she said. As their home was being built, her son was finishing high school. When he graduated, they made the move. Since then, her parents and father-in-law have also made the move to Estrella, in large part because the community offered them the perfect choices in a home, amenities and proximity.
“My son and father-in-law live together in one of the multi-gen homes and it’s perfect. I love having everyone close by. All of my favorite and most important people are here now, the only one left is my sister and I’m working on her!”
Montelongo’s love for Estrella didn’t stop there. Once they sold their home in California, they invested in two Beazer homes in the Acacia neighborhood, taking advantage of the recent incentives the homebuilders are offering. “This is where we’re going to be, so it just made sense,” she said.
The decision to plant their roots in Estrella was an easy one for Nikki and her family. With a variety of amenities for all ages and interests, and the proximity to nature with the Estrella mountains and miles of trails, it’s everything the family was looking for and more. “There’s so much to do here. You’re never out of options and we love that.” The idea of having her extended family within the same community is gratifying to Nikki, yet Estrella is large enough that they can all pursue their own interests — with clubs, events, activities, neighborhoods and homes that fit their specific need. Says Nikki, “Estrella provides the family the best of all worlds!”
