Estrella in Goodyear is Arizona’s largest master-planned community and with more than 21,000 residents represents more than 20% of the City of Goodyear’s population. The community features homes from seven builders with 19 model homes to tour and 38 distinct floor plans. With 4,000+ acres yet to be developed, there are plans to add more builders, neighborhoods and housing options, including growth east of Estrella Parkway.
As Estrella grows, Estrella Partners LP, comprised of Harvard Investments, Toll Brothers and Värde Partners, looks forward to continuing a tradition of building strong civic and community partnerships. To highlight that commitment, Estrella was pleased to welcome members of Leadership West to the community. It was an opportunity for the development team to share its dedication to creating a community that not only provides high quality living but serves as the heart of the booming West Valley.
On Wednesday, September 28 the Estrella team hosted 18 members of Leadership West to showcase the community’s west valley economic and cultural impact. Members learned more about the high-quality jobs Estrella creates, premium community events it hosts and its focus on hiring west valley vendors, whenever possible. It was an opportunity to see the variety of homes and amenities offered for diverse individuals and families seeking Goodyear/West Valley homes and discover new ways to connect west valley businesses to Estrella’s residents, schools and community events.
Leadership West was formed in 1993 as an organization that connects West Valley leaders to one another, as well as to the top issues and events facing the region’s cities. The organization understands that the people with the power to control and change communities are those who live and do business within them.
During their visit, the Leadership West participants visited several of Estrella’s amenities. Highlights included the Welcome Center where they grabbed a coffee at Café Bebida, the CantaMia clubhouse – Estrella’s 55+ neighborhood and the Presidio Residents’ Club, fitness center and resort-style pool. The event concluded with a lunch at the Cantina at Presidio, compliments of Estrella.
The tours were led by Claudia Sieb, Estrella CMO through Harvard Investments; Lane Powell, CCMC’s Executive Director of Estrella; and Nichole Strick, CantaMia’s Lifestyle Director.
They shared information about Estrella’s strong, ongoing relationship with the City of Goodyear and that the new developers are focused on:
- Expanding the mix of home offerings, adding more commercial, adding new and compelling parks – including nearly a dozen new parks coming to the Montecito neighborhood.
- Responsible water use and working closely with the city on those plans.
- Continued job creation, with a priority on West Valley vendors. There are currently more than 55 CCMC team members on Estrella’s HOA team alone with hundreds of ongoing jobs in construction, management, engineering, architectural design, landscaping and renovations created through the master-planned community.
The Estrella team was grateful to host this dynamic group of West Valley leaders working to enhance the west valley for years to come, and Leadership West left with a greater appreciation for the value of public-private partnerships and the special place Estrella holds in the West Valley.
